Hi There 👋 !
Hey! I'm Lénaïc BARBIER, but most people know me as Hixus. I'm a 20-year-old tech enthusiast living in the beautiful city of Nantes, France. My journey into the world of programming started out of pure curiosity with the Source engine and Hammer tool. I spent countless hours tweaking levels, experimenting with game design, and diving into the code behind my favorite games. It was like opening a door to a whole new world, and I was hooked.
Not long after, I got my hands on a Raspberry Pi and an Arduino. These tiny devices opened up even more possibilities. I set up my first servers, played around with basic automation, and really started to understand the power of programming. It was around this time that I realized tech wasn't just a hobby for me—it was a passion.
Fast forward to today, I'm deeply involved in both web and mobile development. I enjoy working with languages like C and C++ for their close-to-the-metal control, but I'm equally at home with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript when building web applications. I've dabbled with frameworks like Angular, Laravel, Symfony, and CakePHP, and I love the flexibility they offer. I recently got into Astro.js for static site generation, and it's been a game-changer for rapid, high-performance development ;).
Right now, I'm really focused on GemStudy. You can also check out my code and various projects on GitHub.
What really drives me is the desire to learn and explore. I’ve always been the type of person who asks "Why?" and "How?" I want to know how things work from the inside out, whether it's figuring out the mechanics of a game level, the architecture of a web framework, or the inner workings of a mobile app.
I have a particular interest in cybersecurity. There's something fascinating about understanding the vulnerabilities in systems and figuring out how to protect against them. It’s like a game of cat and mouse, and it keeps me on my toes. I’m constantly reading up on the latest threats and learning new techniques to safeguard information.
Outside of my love for coding and tech, I enjoy collaborating with others who share my passion.
In the future, I see myself continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible with technology. I want to be at the forefront of innovation, creating solutions that not only solve problems but also inspire others to explore and create. If there’s one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s that the possibilities in tech are endless, and I’m excited to be a part of this ever-evolving landscape.
Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to reach out if you want to chat about tech, projects, or just share some cool ideas. I'm always up for conversation!
